The Milton Menace finished their preseason with a win!
On Friday, August 29th, the Menace welcomed in the Mississauga Chargers to the Sherwood Community Centre. The Menace had won two of their three preseason match-ups heading into the game.
All of the offence for Milton came in the first period. Alec Stewart continued his hot preseason, opening the scoring seven minutes into the frame, with assists coming from Brody Leet and Gabriel Ciarallo. A few minutes later, that goal was followed up by another from Dean Deligeorgis on the powerplay, assisted by Nathan Catalano and Tristan Tremble. Captain Graeme MacAuley would then get himself on the board, getting help from Ciarallo and Ashtyn Pacheco. Milton would lead 3-0 after 20 minutes of action.
Mississauga would score in the second period, but that would be all for the game.
The story of the game ended up being the penalties. The two teams tallied 226 PIMs combined. The final period was not played.
Milton beat the Chargers 3-1.
In net for the Menace was Will Belitski. He stopped 11 of 12 shots in his 40 minutes of action.
Next up is the 2025-2026 regular season home opener against the Buffalo Jr. Sabres on Friday, September 5th. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
