The Town of Halton Hills is inviting the community to celebrate local environmental action at this year’s Go Green Halton Hills event.
This free, family-friendly event will feature local green businesses, environmental organizations, and hands-on activities that inspire positive change.
Attendees can test drive an electric vehicle with Plug’n Drive, get eco-landscaping tips from Credit Valley Conservation, and enjoy activities like Family Storytime, the interactive Repair Café, and the Hey Neighbour activity zone. Visitors can also explore bird-friendly wood carvings, vote for the Top Town Bird, and borrow a Backyard Explorer Kit to continue the fun at home.
Mayor Anne Lawlor says the event is a chance to meet “community champions” making a difference in Halton Hills by protecting biodiversity, supporting birds, and running sustainable businesses.
It’s happening on Saturday, August 23rd, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, located at 9 Church Street in Georgetown.
