The annual Read and Ride program is coming back for another summer.
Each year, Milton Transit teams up with the Milton Public Library to offer youth aged 16 and under to opportunity to ride Milton Transit for free by showing their validated library card to the bus driver upon boarding.
Transit validation stickers will be available for free at all Milton Public Library branches starting Saturday, June 14th. Participants must place the validation sticker on their library card.
A kickoff celebration is scheduled for June 14th at the Main Library Branch, located at 1010 Main Street East, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Residents can take part in fun activities, receive their validation stickers, and participate in a scavenger hunt on a Milton Transit bus parked outside the library.
This annual program will run until Saturday, August 30th.
