The Milton Menace are bringing more brainpower to the bench with the addition of Jacob Buch as Assistant Coach for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
A Hamilton native, Buch – referred to affectionately by the team as “Butchy” – brings a deep resume to the Menace organization. A former early-round draft pick of the London Knights, he’s played across the GOJHL, OJHL, and OHL, and later turned his hockey IQ into scouting experience with the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes. Most recently, he’s led teams as Head Coach of the Hamilton Kilty B’s, Glanbrook Rangers, and Caledonia Corvairs.
“Jacob’s been in the game at every level,” says the club in their announcement on social media. “Now he’s bringing that heat to the Menace bench.”
He joins a team that made it to the OJHL Finals, losing in six games to the Trenton Golden Hawks.
The Menace also said goodbye to several players on social media recently, as they head off to post-secondary:
- Defenceman Henry Attard will join the Royal Military College for the 2025-2026 season
- Defenceman Owen Kindree will head to Dalhousie University with fellow Menace players Madden MacDougall and Luke Johnston
- Goaltender Carter Bickle is going to the NCAA to play for Long Island University
