A new 40-metre telecommunications tower is being proposed in Milton.
Rogers Communications wants to build it at 375 Wheelabrator Way. Their goal is to improve the wireless coverage in the 401 Business Park neighbourhood, including areas along Steeles Avenue East and Ontario Street North. The proposed structure will include antennas, a 5-metre lightning rod, and an obstruction light to ensure safe visibility.
An equipment shelter is also planned at the base of the tower, and the site will be surrounded by a security fence with a locked gated access point.
The installation is intended to meet growing demands for wireless services and enhance connectivity in the area.
Residents are invited to attend a virtual Public Information Session to learn more and ask questions. That’s taking place on Zoom at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3rd:
