Conservation Halton is once again celebrating Pride Month this June with the return of its popular Pride in Nature event series.
They’re welcoming members of the 2SLGBTQI+ community, allies, friends, and chosen family for fun, inclusive outdoor experiences.
Presented in partnership with PRISM Halton, Pride Toronto, and Queer@ROCK, these events aim to empower and connect the community through nature-based programming across local conservation areas.
“At Conservation Halton, we believe nature is for everyone. As a recently accredited Rainbow Registered organization, Pride in Nature represents a key part of our ongoing commitment to making nature accessible to the 2SLGBTQI+ community and helping community members feel safe, welcome, and celebrated in our parks,” says Craig Machan, Director, Parks & Operations at Conservation Halton. “We are excited to announce this year’s roster for Pride Month and look forward to celebrating the 2SLGBTQI+ community with nature-based events across our parks in June.”
