The Town of Milton is calling on residents to help shape its draft Housing Strategy by completing a new public survey.
With Milton on track to grow to 400,000 residents and needing 88,000 new homes by 2051, the Town is preparing a comprehensive plan to meet future housing needs.
The strategy will outline Milton’s long-term vision for housing, including key goals, objectives, targets, and actions to support housing options for people of all ages, incomes, and life stages. The survey asks for feedback on the draft vision, guiding principles, intended outcomes, and proposed actions. Town staff also hosted an in-person open house on Tuesday, May 27th to gather early public input.
“The Town is developing a strategy and implementation tools to ensure that we welcome the right housing, in the right places, at the right prices and tenures,” said Jill Hogan, Commissioner of Development Services for the Town of Milton. “We want to hear from the community as we plan for future growth.”
A draft version of the Housing Strategy will be presented to Council later this year.

The survey is open until Friday, June 13th.
