The Town of Milton is launching a one-year overnight parking permit pilot program at select municipal parks, aiming to ease residential street parking pressures as the town grows.
It starts on Monday, June 2nd with roughly 400 designated spaces available across all four wards.
This initiative offers a temporary solution as Milton shifts toward higher-density living and expanded public transit. Mayor Gord Krantz says the pilot is a response to residents’ concerns.
“As Milton grows, residents are telling us they need more parking options. We’re listening. This pilot gives us a chance to see if overnight parking permits are a workable solution as we move toward a more transit-oriented future.”
Permits will cost $60 per month, offered first-come, first-served, and allow parking in any of the designated parks during that month. To be eligible, applicants must have no outstanding violations, and enforcement will be managed by the Town’s parking contractor.
