The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement for the area following recent rainfall.
Between 15 to 30 mm of rain has fallen since last night, with an additional 20 to 40 mm expected by Friday evening.
While widespread flooding isn’t anticipated, local low-lying areas could see some flooding due to already saturated ground.
Residents are urged to keep children and pets away from waterways and slippery banks.
The advisory remains in effect until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 26th.
