South Simcoe Police would like to remind drivers that being late for work is not a reason for speeding.
A 19-year-old Innisfil man is facing multiple charges after being stopped for stunt driving in a school zone in Cookstown.
According to South Simcoe Police, the incident occurred around 9:00 a.m., when officers clocked a vehicle travelling at 90 km/h in a posted 40 km/h zone near a local school.
The driver was charged with stunt driving, driving with no validated permit, and failing to surrender an insurance card.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
