The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says a male has been taken into custody.
They add that there is no ongoing threat to public safety, and that police will be clearing the scene near the Georgetown GO station soon.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has warned the public of a potentially dangerous armed individual in Georgetown.
Officers are currently looking for a male suspect armed with a knife that was reportedly in the area of the south Georgetown GO lot at 55 Queen Street.
Residents are advised to avoid this area for the time being. If you’re required to use GO for travel this morning (specifically that station), contact GO for updated travel information.
