MCRC’s 8th Annual Fill A Crib Campaign Exceeds Expectations
The Milton Community Resource Centre (MCRC) is celebrating the success of its 8th Annual Fill A Crib Campaign, which raised an impressive $57,000 to support the MCRC Infant Food Bank. The campaign surpassed its original goal with over 125 donations and contributions from 35 local businesses and organizations, resulting in 115 cribs being filled with essential infant supplies.
Becky Andrade, Executive Director of MCRC, expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support: “We are deeply moved by the generosity of our community. Thanks to everyone who participated, we’ve been able to make a real difference for families in need.”
A standout contributor, Broccolini, donated $15,000 worth of supplies, filling 30 cribs. The partnership with No Limits Martial Arts also shone brightly, with Adam Molar and the children filling eight cribs. MCRC also extended thanks to Scotiabank for its continued sponsorship. Andrade added, “The overwhelming support through the Fill A Crib Campaign will help ensure that any family that comes through our doors will receive the nourishment and care they need during difficult times.”
This year’s success will directly benefit the Infant Food Bank, which saw its highest number of babies in December—185—and assisted 18 new families. The $57,000 raised will help keep the shelves stocked with essential supplies, ensuring that families facing hardship have access to the support they need.
