The Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation (TJSF) has announced the results of their first-ever Miracle on Main Street food drive!
Each year, the organization holds a toy drive, collecting toy donations for local families need. That all culminates with the annual Milton festival known as Miracle on Main Street.
President of the TJSF, Tiger Jeet Singh Jr., along with his partners, wanted to broaden their impact and reach more people in need. That led to the addition of a food drive.
At Milton’s FreshCo on Thursday, December 12th, Tiger announced that roughly $20,000 worth of food donations was raised by the community. The food donations will go support a number of local non-profit organizations. Three were on-hand on Thursday: Food4Kids Halton, Milton Salvation Army, and Food For Life.
Tiger praised the work done by the organizations that will receive the food, before handing it out to the community.
Among the partners at the announcement were representatives from Wallace Chevrolet, Scotiabank, and FreshCo.
Speaking on the impact of this food drive, Food4Kids Halton’s Stacey Halliday had nothing but praise for the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation.
The Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation held their Miracle on Main Street event on Saturday, December 7th. They shut down Milton’s Main Street for an afternoon of charity, food, and fun. On stage at the event, Tiger announced that the total exceeded $2 million, including a significant $476,031.51 donation from Amazon Canada. We’ll share the final results of the toy drive when we get them.
