A Georgetown man is facing assault and weapons charges after a knife was pulled on staff in a downtown Guelph bar.
Early on Friday, November 1st, police were called after the incident occurred. Staff stopped the man when he attempted to two the premises with two pitchers of alcohol. As they were kicking him out, the man pulled a flip knife and began waving it at employees in a threatening manner.
He was located by officers a short distance away. The knife was recovered from his pocket.
The 26-year-old is charged with assault with a weapon and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He will appear in court Tuesday, December 17th.
