The Townsend Smith Hospice Foundation (TSHF) is hoping you come out to their Candlelight Vigil event.
This has been an annual event for the organization as they prepare Hillcrest United Church in Halton Hills to be the location for their hospice.
New Executive Director for the TSHF, Kim Kohlberger, says she’s happy to have the vigil on-site as it’ll set up future in-memoriam events.
She notes that this event will not be used for fundraising. They want the community to come out and reflect on the lives lost over the years in the comfort of like-minded people.
Kristina Tesser Derksen has been a Board Member with TSHF for several years now. She’s also served as the MC for the last few vigils. Using that experience, she walks you through what you can expect at the event.
You can RSVP for the event here. It starts at 7:00 p.m. and will run for roughly 30-45 minutes.
Find the soon-to-be hospice location at 8958 Trafalgar Road in Georgetown.
