What would you do with an extra hour in your day?
I find a lot of people complain about there not being enough time in their day to get things done. So, I want you to imagine what your life would be like if we suddenly had 25 hours in a day. What would you do?
Would you get more sleep?
Would you exercise more?
Maybe learn a new skill?
Get all your work done?
Anything else?
Let me know!

Daily WTF – Study: Eating grasshoppers can improve sleep, hair, and sexual function
A study has found a great way to solve a lot of your issues, and it could be hanging out in your backyard! Researchers in Africa dove deep into the benefits of eating grasshoppers. They found the little insects can actually improve your sleep, hair, and sexual function. When done right, edible grasshoppers are actually very high in “amino acids, fibers, carbohydrates, energy and essential minerals.” Research has also found the same thing about other insects, like crickets and mealworms. So, if you’re looking for a boost – check the backyard (or buy them prepared in stores)!
Daily Did You Know – Board game about Milton celebrates milestone after three years
It’s been three years since Milton-Opoly was first released, and it’s become a hit ever since! Creators Offset Media have announced that they just sold their 2000th copy of the board game, which is Monopoly with the streets and key sites based on our town. It includes places like Milton Memorial Arena, Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area, and Springridge Farm. And it’s not like Milton is unique in having this game. Offset Media is famous for making hundreds of these localized board games for communities across Canada, but it’s still pretty neat! Have you played Milton-Opoly yet? You can find the game for sale at Walmart stores, as well as online.
Here’s how Milton residents can be prepared for fall weather
It’s the last work day of the summer today! Fall will officially kick off on Sunday, September 22nd. Despite the beautiful weather we’ve had for most of this month, eventually, the temperature will drop. The leaves will change colours and fall quickly. The Town of Milton wants you to be prepared for the change of seasons, so they’ve released a list of tips. They advise securing waste in bins with tight-fitting lids to deter pests and rodents. You should also avoid leaving food scraps around. Residents should maintain their yards, remove clutter, trim weeds, and eliminate standing water to reduce nesting spots and water sources for pests. The town also suggests inspecting and sealing any cracks or gaps in home exteriors to prevent pest entry.

28 Years Later: Danny Boyle’s New Zombie Flick Was Shot on an iPhone 15
You might be able to shoot a movie right now! It was reported this week that a big time blockbuster movie was just recently filmed entirely through an iPhone 15. ’28 Years Later’ is the sequal/third of a trilogy to ’28 Days Later’ and ’28 Weeks Later’. It’s a big time zombie movie that’s been about 20+ years in the making. Despite having a budget of $75 million, director Danny Boyle decided to use an iPhone with some attachments. You might say, “that’s a bold strategy for your big zombie movie…” and there’s a cool connection between the original ’28 Days Later’ and why they chose to do this for this new movie. You see, in the early 2000s, Boyle opted to film his zombie movie, starring Cillian Murphy, on a handheld digital camera. It was innovative and cost-cutting at the time, and it helped give the original film a unique look. All these years later, Boyle decided to go with the same idea, but traded in a digital handheld camera for the camera we all have in our pockets; the first movie of its size to film with an iPhone. ’28 Years Later’ is expected to come out next year, and we’ll see how the movie looks!
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour means big bucks for United Airlines
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has famously been a money making cash cow, both for her and the locations that she travels to for the shows. It’s reported that she is single-handedly providing bumps to the tourism sectors of many cities all across the world. It’s not just the local shops and hotels that are benefitting from her record breaking tour, but United Airlines says they saw a boom in sales as well. The tour equated to a 25% bump in weekend ticket sales, as many people travelled to see Taylor live. Other airlines have reported having to add additional flights to cities that she was performing in, as people needed to get there on time. Swift will bring her Eras Tour to Toronto this November. Expect it to be chaos around the Rogers Centre when she’s here… And apparently you should expect Pearson Airport to be a little busy as well.
