The Halton Learning Foundation (HLF) is trying to support hundreds of local students this fall.
With school back in session, the local organization has put together their annual ‘Back to School’ campaign. The goal is raise enough donations to help up to 300 students around Halton.
CEO Marc Clare explains where your donations are going.
They’ve reached the halfway mark, having just announced that 50% of their fundraising goal is been met. That means 150 students will be supported through the donations made so far.
The deadline this year is Monday, September 30th. If you’d like to donate, you can do so online here. Clare adds that you can also send in cheques or cash donations to their headquarters at 2050 Guelph Line in Burlington (L7P 5A8).
For those who want to help year-round, you can sign-up for monthly donations. HLF has a partnership with Belair Direct where all monthly donations will be matched, up tp $15,000. That means your $20 would be equal to $40 a month.
