The 24th annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament in Milton was a major success!
On Friday, September 6th, 241 golfers united in action to support United Way Halton & Hamilton at Granite Ridge Golf Club in Milton. This year’s tournament raised over $230,000, directly supporting the over 220,568+ individuals and families in Halton and Hamilton who leveraged essential, social services last year.
Since its inception, the Mayor’s Golf Tournament for United Way in Milton has now contributed more than $3.6 million to the local United Way Halton & Hamilton campaign. Funds raised are directed to over 49 United Way-supported programs in Milton, which are designed to help support local residents and families.
“The Milton community has always shown remarkable dedication and compassion,” says Brad Park, President and CEO of United Way Halton & Hamilton. “The Annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament is a testament to the strength of our collective spirit, which demonstrates a desire to create meaningful change and uplift those in need throughout Milton. The funds raised will help us to continue supporting individuals and families facing significant barriers, ensuring they receive the vital programs and services they need.”
Last year, over 21,000 Miltonians utilized services from a United Way-supported program.
United Way Halton & Hamilton will formally announce their 2024-2025 fundraising goal for the community on Saturday, September 21st at the Annual Plane Pull event. This year’s Annual Campaign will focus on the theme “United in ACTION,” aiming to build a better future by turning compassion into action and ensuring no one is left behind.
