The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is looking for an unknown man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at the Aldershot GO Station.
On Thursday, July 18th, at roughly 10:10 a.m., the suspect approached the victim at the bus loop at the GO station. The suspect began a conversation with the victim before rubbing the her arm and playing with her hair. The victim and suspect got on to the same #17 bus together to Hamilton, where the suspect sat next to the victim and, according to the HRPS, sexually assaulted her.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.
The HRPS describe the suspect as:
- Male, brown, 60-70 years old;
- Approx. 5’ 6” tall and stocky build;
- Wearing a grey cap, sunglasses, blue polo shirt under a grey hoody, black pants and open toe sandals. The suspect was carrying a black and copper coloured cane as well as a light blue and black back pack.

Sexual assault is any touching of another person without their consent where the touching is of a sexual nature, or where the sexual integrity of the victim is violated. A sexual assault can range from unwanted touching to sexual assault involving penetration.
There is no statute of limitation when it comes to reporting a sexual assault. This means that no matter how long ago the sexual assault happened, you can still report it to police for investigation.
