An $8,000 grant from the Town of Milton Community Fund is being used to repaint the exterior of the Waldie Blacksmith Shop.
According to the Milton Historical Society, the Waldie Blacksmith Shop is the only privately-operated urban museum in Milton and serves as the Society’s headquarters.
The shop also houses the community’s only archives of historic documents and photographs, which are currently being digitized.
A cleanup of the exterior and re-caulking of windows and doors was completed a few weeks ago.
The painting began on Wednesday, with funds provided by the Milton Community Fund.
