Apple recently announced a bunch of new features coming to their products with the latest update.
One that has everyone talking is the ‘Apple Intelligence’ AI emojis. Users will be able to create their emojis!
They’re calling these AI generated emojis ‘Genmojis’. You give the feature a prompt and it generates the emoji. The example they gave was “smiley relaxing wearing cucumbers,” and the feature generated a yellow smiley face emoji with cucumbers over its eyes. Sounds easy, right?
What would you make first? We’ll read some out today!
Let me know!

Daily WTF – Oregon high school class holds its 80th annual reunion
How many people would attend your high school reunion if you had one today? For the Salem High School graduating class of 1944, six people were able to attend their get together at the local Denny’s. It’s been 80 years, but the half dozen of former students were still able to meet up for their annual meeting. They lost five members of the group since their last reunion, so the event began with a memorial. After that, they introduced family members and read a poem. I want to be able to do this! So, to Georgetown District High School’s graduating class of 2012, I’ll see you in 68 years.

Get out the sunscreen, a heatwave is incoming
Hopefully you have your air conditioning unit turned on, and hopefully you have your sunscreen prepped and ready to go. We’ve had a bit of a cold stretch the last week or so, but that’s all about to end. The next few days will be ramping up to an incoming heatwave. According to the forecast provided by Environment Canada, it’ll kick off on Sunday with a daily high of 28°C. It’ll then reach 31°C on Monday, and 33°C on Tuesday. So, if you’ve enjoyed the heat lately, get ready. It’s about to get real, real hot.
Take dad fishing for free this Father’s Day
Reminder to you that this Sunday is Father’s Day. If you haven’t gone and purchased a tie or a coffee mug for your dad yet, now’s the time to do so. If your dad is a fishing fanatic, and he’s been bugging you to get out on the water with him, then you’re in luck! The Ontario Government is making it so that fishing is free this Saturday and Sunday. They tend to do this for certain holidays throughout the year. Grab your pops, get the equipment and drinks ready, and head down to the water this weekend for some peace and quiet. Just make sure you follow all the guidelines and stay safe!
GOOD NEWS – Loyal dog saves camper’s life after running miles for help
Would your dog save your life? That’s what happened to Brandon Garrett earlier this month. The man was driving to a camping ground in Oregon when his vehicle went off the road and into a nearby river embankment. One of his four dogs managed to get out and travelled four miles to the camping grounds. When the dog showed up without Garrett, that’s when his friends and family knew something was wrong. Emergency services managed to save the trapped man and his three remaining dogs… And that’s some good news!
Thousands sign petition to save “Big Brother Canada” from being evicted from TV
It’s a scary time for television, and that includes reality television. Corus Entertainment released its latest schedule for the upcoming TV season. Noticeably missing from the lineup was a Canadian mainstay: Big Brother Canada. Rumours started to swirl, and that led to fans starting an online petition. SAVE BIG BROTHER CANADA. Apparently, this has happened before and fans were able to save it back then. Now? Who knows! According to reports, a decision has not been made by the studio… which could be good news or bad news! We’ll have to wait and see.
Rihanna Denies Retiring Despite Viral Rumors
It’s been an interesting few years for singer Rihanna. She’s now a mother of two, a billionaire through her Fenty makeup line, and is about 18 months removed from performing live at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. At 36-years-old, there are rumours going around that she has retired from making new music. Rihanna has decided to address those reports. She says she’s not retiring anytime soon, and is starting over when it comes to making new music. She last released a full studio album in 2016. People expected a new album to be announced after her Halftime Show, but the big surprise was her second pregnancy. It’s been eight years, and fans are no longer patiently waiting. Would you like to hear a ninth album from Rihanna? She’s already a billionaire, so I can see why she hasn’t put her focus into music lately. That said, I wouldn’t mind some summer bops, you know?
Jennifer Aniston launches children’s book series with best ‘friend’ Clydeo the dog
Jennifer Aniston is entering the wide world of children’s books! The actor will base a series of books on her best friend, Clydeo the dog. Clyde has apparently been a big hit on social media since Aniston joined Instagram in 2021. Bruno Jacob will do the illustrations for the first book, ‘Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life’. It’ll share a story of Clyde discovering his cooking talents, which sounds exactly like something my nephew would love to hear about. That comes out this October.
