The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is looking for an unknown man who approached two female youths while holding a knife in Burlington.
On Sunday, June 9th, at roughly 1:30 p.m., the two girls were walking in the alleyway behind a plaza located at 676 Appleby Line when they encountered a man on a bicycle. The man was holding a large kitchen knife during the encounter with the girls. They were not physically injured.
The youths fled the scene and police were contacted; however, the suspect was not located and is still outstanding. He was last seen travelling westbound on a bicycle on the Centennial Bikeway Trail in Burlington.
The suspect is described by the HRPS as:
- Asian
- male
- roughly 50 years of age
- long black hair in a bun
- thin build
- missing a top tooth
- seen wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt with blue gloves and white/black checkered pants
