Are you scared of ET? It turns out, 1/8 people are afraid of the little 80s alien!
The recent study also found that men were nearly two times more likely to be afraid of the poor guy, with 17% saying yes versus just 9% of women.
Were you scared of any non-spooky children’s movies growing up?
I’m not gonna lie, ‘The Mask’ with Jim Carrey gave me nightmares when I first watched it… Whether it was the mask itself taking over his body, his over-the-top green expressions, or the big bad guy turning into the Loki mask character, probably not a great movie for a seven-year-old to watch alone. And now I love the movie!
What about you? Let me know!

Daily WTF – Engineers make ‘Dune stillsuit’ that turns pee, sweat into drinkable water
If you’ve ever read the ‘Dune’ books or seen the recent movies, then you know, the characters on the planet Arrakis have to wear a special suit when they go out into the desert area. It’s called a “stillsuit” and in the fictional universe, it turns all wasted bodily fluids into drinkable water to help preserve the water within the body. The idea is that this desert is so barren that you can’t waste a single drop of water, no matter what that water was before. Well, a YouTubing engineer has reportedly recreated this stillsuit and it works just like it does in the Dune universe. Nearly 60 years after Frank Herbert released his first ‘Dune’ novel, which inspired basically all modern sci-fi, YouTube channel Hacksmith Industries has successfully created a suit that turns the wearer’s sweat, breath, and pee into drinkable water. They did it by combining a bunch of computer parts and medical PPE. Still gonna need a lot of convincing to ever use this thing, because that’s a lot to take in… both mentally and physically…

Is that Her? OpenAI halting ChatGPT voice after some say it sounds like Scarlett Johansson
If you’ve been using ChatGPT and their new voice feature, you might have noticed that it sounds like a certain Hollywood star. After starring in the 2013 movie ‘Her’, Scarlett Johansson has kind of become the voice of artificial intelligence. That’s why ChatGPT reached out to her to ask if they could use her voice for their new AI voice feature. She actually declined the offer, but people have noticed this feature still sounds A LOT like her. After some questions were raised, the AI company has decided to put this new feature on hold. Which is funny, because in the movie Her, the AI voices also go away. Life imitates art!
‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Producer Thinks Disney Still ‘Really Wants to Make’ Margot Robbie’s ‘Pirates’ Movie
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movies are in a weird state of flux. No one knows what’s going on with the franchise. It’s believed that Disney is rebooting the series, moving away from the original films with Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom, and moving towards a new direction with new stars. They reportedly have a script nearly done, it just needs some cleaning up in the first and second acts. No timeline was provided, but we could have a sixth Pirates movie by the end of the decade… and that’s kind of exciting!
Tennessee to become first US state to provide families with 100 diapers per month
One of the biggest expenses for new parents is about to be free in the state of Tennessee. They have passed a bill that will allow all families to get 100 diapers per month until the child turns two-years-old. That’s roughly three a day, which won’t cover ALL diapers, but will definitely help ease the financial burden for new parents. Tennessee also has a diaper bank where people can donate leftover unused diapers to any police district and it’ll go towards local infant food banks, which essentially covers all tracks… And that’s some good news!
Daniel Radcliffe Is ‘Very Happy’ About Upcoming Harry Potter TV Series but Remains Coy About Returning to Hogwarts
This is my monthly reminder that they are rebooting Harry Potter into an HBO TV show. Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, was asked about his thoughts on this upcoming series. He’s very happy with it, but he declined to comment on whether or not he’ll have a role in this new show. According to reports, Warner Bros. is looking to have the Harry Potter series on HBO Max and Crave by 2026, so you have enough time to reread every book and rewatch every movie by then. Have fun!
Chet Hanks Explains Drake and Kendrick Lamar Beef to Dad Tom Hanks: ‘Holy Cow!’
Sometimes, parents just want to interact with their kids and they don’t really care how or what that interaction is about. For actor Tom Hanks, he asked his rapper son, Chet, to explain the current Kendrick Lamar/Drake beef. Chet Hanks posted the text conversation on his social media, and it’s such an incredible insight into how TOM HANKS, America’s dad, interacts with his patois speaking rapper son. He calls him ‘BIG MAIN’, which is so funny. Hanks asked his song to explain the Kendrick/Drake stuff, and after a long, detailed paragraph, he just responds with “Holy cow! These are fighting words!” He texts just like someone pulled the string on their ‘Woody’ doll. “There’s a snake in my boot!” I love it, I’m all for Tom Hanks calling his rapper son ‘Big Main’.
