Woodbine Mohawk Park has opened its doors to local non-profit organizations and charities!
They’ve been hosting events and gatherings in what they call the ‘Woodbine Cares Community Corner’. The space is 100% free, and would allow groups to promote themselves, specific events, fundraise, and even sell merchandise.
General Manager Heather Flaherty says they’re hoping more groups take advantage of the area in 2024.
Flaherty adds that when she arrived to Woodbine Mohawk Park two years ago, she saw the space as a community hub that was able to bring people together.
Woodbine Cares Community Corner is available on race nights held at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday, Fridays, and/or Saturdays. The space will be open from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. throughout the year. It’s found within the grandstand at Woodbine Mohawk Park, strategically placed before the escalator that takes you up to the restaurant.
