A Milton woman is one of three people facing possession charges following a traffic stop-turned-bust in the Parry Sound area.
On Tuesday, February 27th, OPP officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 69 in Archipelago Township for a sobriety check. They found cannabis readily available for the driver. A search of the vehicle was then conducted, which resulted in the officers finding a firearm, high-capacity magazine, and suspected cocaine and Fentanyl – believed to be worth more than $22,000.
22-year-old Jada George of Milton was arrested and charged with:
- Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was prohibited or restricted weapon
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
- Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
- Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
- Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition at unauthorized place
- Possession of schedule I substance – Opioid
- Possession of a firearm prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
- Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
27-year-old Dallas White of Vaughan was arrested and charged with:
- Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was prohibited or restricted weapon
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
- Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for dangerous purpose
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
- Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition at unauthorized place
- Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
- Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo
An unnamed 16-year-old from Scarborough was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking -Opioid
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession property obtained by crime under $5000.00
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
- Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was prohibited device or ammunition
- Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition at unauthorized place
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
- Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for dangerous purpose
- Passenger fail to wear seatbelt properly
All three will appear in a Parry Sound court on Thursday, March 21st.
