Milton Memorial Arena, 2019
The Milton Menace couldn’t keep the winning streak against the Oakville Blades on Wednesday afternoon.
It was a matinee game at the Milton Memorial Arena on February 28th.
Things started out fairly low scoring, with Aidan Puley scoring the lone goal in the first period. It was assisted by Graeme Macauley and Joseph Macchione. Milton led 1-0 after 20-minutes of play.
The second period wasn’t any more eventful, with neither team scoring. The Menace led 1-0 heading into the second intermission.
Then, the dam broke in the third period. Oakville scored 25 seconds into the game to tie things up. Alexander Siletsky scored his 12th of the year to take back the lead for Milton. It was assisted by Jayden Levesque and Gavin Sheehan. The Blades then scored three unanswered goals in seven minutes to take a two-goal lead. Menace captain Connor Driscoll was able to bring things within one with his 27th of the season, assisted by Puley and Macauley. But that was all! The Milton Menace would lose 4-3 to the Oakville Blades.
In net for the Menace was Glen Crandall. He stopped 26 of 30 shots for an .866% save percentage.
Milton will head into the final stretch of the regular season this weekend. They head to Collingwood to face the Blues on Friday, March 1st. Puck-drop at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena is set for 7:00 p.m.
