The Milton Menace continue their winning ways!
On Wednesday afternoon, the boys went into the Vaughan Sports Village play the Toronto Patriots. It was the fourth game of the season between the two teams, with the Menace winning the last two.
It started off a little wonky for the Menace as Toronto jumped out to a 1-0 lead five minutes into the game. Just a few minutes later, Joseph Macchione answered the call with his 7th of the year. It was assisted by Ivan Fabjan and Aidan Puley. The line continued to produce as Puley scored his 27th, assisted by Macchione and Fabjan. Before the end of the period, Alexander Siletsky buried his 11th of the season, with Fabjan and Nicholas Wereha getting the apples. The Menace led the Patriots 3-1 after one period of play.
The second period was a bit less action packed. The Menace were able to take advantage of the man advantage, with Sett Ursomarzo scoring his 16th of the season. Madden MacDougall and Siletsky both were credited with the assist. With less than a minute left in the second period, the Patriots were able to get one back. Milton was leading 4-2 after 40-minutes.
There was no comeback in the final frame. Alessandro Petreccia made sure of that, scoring his 12th of the year, assisted by Evan Grobanopoulos and Fabjan. Before the end of the period, Puley scored his second of the game and 28th of the year, assisted by Fabjan and Wereha. The Milton Menace beat the Toronto Patriots 6-2.
Ivan Fabjan was the star of the game, finishing five assists.
In net for Milton was Glen Crandall. The netminder stopped 28 of 30 shots, giving him a .933% save percentage.
Residents will get the chance to watch the Menace on Friday, February 23rd when they host the Mississauga Chargers at the Milton Memorial Arena. Puck-drop is slated for 7:30 p.m. Menace home tickets for this OJHL season can be found here.
