A Milton woman went to Niagara Falls and ended up winning the lottery!
Helen Osadca won $50,000 playing the Tuesday, January 9th Merry Millions draw.
A retired mother and grandmother, Osadca said she has been a regular lottery player for the last 20 years. She was at the store when she decided to check her ticket.
“I saw the Big Winner screen and I was shocked. I didn’t believe it and had to scan it a few more times!” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her windfall. “I had always dreamed of a moment like this. I was excited and emotional. I went out to my car and cried happy tears.”
She plans to pay some bills and share her win with her children.
“I feel so thankful for this blessing. It feels like a dream come true.”
The winning ticket was purchased at the Havana Tobacconist on Fallsview Boulevard in Niagara Falls.
