The Milton Menace remain undefeated against the Buffalo Jr. Sabres this year.
They went across the border on Wednesday, December 20th to play the Lecom Harborcenter in front of 200 attendees.
It took a while to get the first goal of the game. Buffalo found the back of the net first, scoring with just 23 seconds left in the first frame. They led 1-0 after 20 minutes.
The second period was mostly all Menace action. Ivan Fabjan scored his 12th of the year, assisted by Markus Hicks and Gavin Sheehan. Shortly after, Justin O’Donnell got on the board. His 13th goal was assisted by Isaac Barrett and Aidan Puley. Madden MacDougall made it a three goal game, scoring his 13th goal of the year, this one on the powerplay. O’Donnell got the assist, as well as Joseph Macchione. Buffalo cut the lead down to one, but Milton answered back before the end of the period. Sett Ursomarzo got the goal, his 13th of the season. It was assisted by MacDougall and Ashtyn Pacheco. With another Sabres goal, the busy frame would end with Milton leading 4-3.
In the third, Ursomarzo buried the dagger, assisted by Tristan Tremble and Fabjan. Milton would win 5-3.
Glen Crandall was in net for the Menace. He stopped 26 of 29 shots, giving him an .896% save percentage.
The Menace will now come back over the border and stop in Niagara Falls to play the Canucks on Friday, December 22nd. This will be their last game of 2023. Read the match-up here.
