
Following the news of a vehicle explosion at the Rainbow Bridge, located in Niagara, New York at the Canada-United States border crossing, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has sent a message to residents.
In a post on X, the HRPS say:
“We are aware of the incident at the Rainbow Bridge New York border crossing and will continue monitoring activity within our Region.”
Two people died in the explosion.
At the time of writing, it is not believed to have been a terrorist attack, according to New York Governor Kathy Hochul.
“Based on what we know at this moment, there is no sign of terrorist activity in this crash,” she said during a news conference on Wednesday, November 22nd.
