GivingTuesday is just around the corner, and Halton Region’s local movement is hoping you take part!
Halton Gives is gearing up to inspire and engage anyone and everyone to take part in the Global Day of Generosity on Tuesday, November 28th.
Beginning back in 2012, GivingTuesday was a simple yet powerful idea to encourage acts of goodwill. Since then, it has turned into a global phenomenon, touching the lives of millions of people worldwide and fostering a culture of generosity and collaboration.
It’s now in over 80 countries. Here in Canada, it was adopted in 2013 by CanadaHelps.org, GIV3, and other founding partners. The mission remains consistent: to foster a world where giving is an integral part of everyday life.
The Halton Region invites individuals and organizations to join the global movement and contribute to creating a positive impact. Whether through the donation of time, skills, resources, or goods, the day serves as a reminder to share with those in need and strengthen our communities. It’s a day to come together to make a difference in the lives of others and in our communities.
“Every act of kindness and generosity, no matter how small, holds the power to make a significant difference,” emphasizes Kristen Curry, Chair of Halton Gives. “GivingTuesday unites our community, igniting the spirit of giving, and together, we can create a lasting impact.”
