Three men have been arrested following break-in at a commercial property in Oakville.
On Monday, November 6th, at roughly 10:50 p.m., members of the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to reports of three males wearing construction vests breaking into a Speers Road business in Oakville.
The suspects quickly fled the scene in a dark-coloured pick-up truck that was pulling a trailer loaded with tools.
A short time later, the vehicle was found in the area of Lakeshore Road East and Ford Drive. A traffic stop was conducted and three suspects were placed under arrest.
As a result of an investigation, 39-year-old Eric Do Rego of St. John, New Brunswick, 29-year-old Bryan Martinho of Thornhill, and 21-year-old Patrick Ruvio of Thornhill have been charged with:
- Break and Enter
- Trespass by Night
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of Break and Enter Tools
At the time of this investigation, Martinho had already entered into a release order related to other significant charges, including firearm-related offences. All of these offences occurred outside of Halton Region, and both Do Rego and Ruvio had signed as his sureties.
All three have been held pending a bail hearing.
