Milton Memorial Arena, 2019
The Milton Menace were able to get a big win on Friday, November 3rd.
It was a home game at the Milton Memorial Arena, with the Brantford 99ers coming to town. It was the first game for the Menace since they lost to the Collingwood Blues 10-0 the previous weekend.
The game started with Joseph Macchione scoring his first goal of the season, giving the Menace the 1-0 lead. It was assisted by Ivan Fabjan and Connor Driscoll. The Menace led 1-0 after the first period of play.
In the second frame, Justin O’Donnell managed to score both his sixth and seventh goal of the season. The Menace seemed to be rolling to a win as they led 3-0 after two periods and were outshooting the 99ers 29-11.
According to the box score, the third period was a sleeper. Brantford didn’t get a shot a net, and when the Menace did, they scored. Three shots, three goals. Madden MacDougall scored his seventh of the year, Aidan Puley nabbed his eighth and Sett Ursomarzo potted his seventh as well. The Menace won 6-0.
Glen Crandall was in net for Milton. He got the shut-out win, stopping all 11 shots.
The Menace will now have a few days off before a road game in Buffalo against the Jr. Sabres on Wednesday, November 8th.
They return home on Sunday, November 12th for a game against the Aurora Tigers. Puck-drop at the Milton Memorial Arena is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Milton Menace home tickets for this OJHL season can be found here.
