There’s a lot to live up to when the Milton Menace play the Caledon Admirals on Friday, October 27th.
These two teams last played on September 14th when the Menace crushed the Admirals 10-1. Captain Connor Driscoll led the way with four points. They’ll play again Friday night at the Milton Memorial Arena.
Heading into the game, the Menace are 13-3-0-0 through 16 games. Their leading scorer is their captain, Driscoll. He’s played all 16 games, scoring ten goals and fifteen assists. Milton’s also 9-1-0-0 in their last ten games, and are riding a three game win streak. Milton is second in both the West Conference and the entire OJHL with 27 points, five behind the red-hot first-place Collingwood Blues.
As you could tell by the final score in the September match-up, Caledon is struggling this season. They are 2-9-4-0 through 15 games, with a 1-8-1-0 record in their last ten games. They are 11th out of 12 teams in the West Conference, and 22nd out of 24 teams in the entire league.
The Menace could look to give Glen Crandall a break with the lighter start by putting Ariel Zaslaver in net for his first action since being pulled against the Toronto Patriots on Friday, October 13th. Prior to that game, Zaslaver had won his first four starts.
Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 27th at the Milton Memorial Arena.
Following Friday, the Menace will travel north to Collingwood to take on the juggernaut Blues. They’re nearly undefeated, sporting a 16-1-0-0 record and have won ten in a row. The Blues last lost on Friday, September 22nd. It was a 3-2 win for the Oakville Blades. Despite losing, Collingwood outshot the Blades 48-17.
This will be the first game of the season between the two teams. The last time they played, Collingwood swept Milton 3-0 in the second-round of the OJHL playoffs.
The game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 29th at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena.
