The Town of Milton is looking to find volunteers for its outdoor neighbourhood ice rink program.
A collaborative project between residents and the Town, it requires a group of neighbours working together to build and operate the rink at a community park for all residents to enjoy, free of charge.
For the 2023-2024 season, the Town will provide support for up to four Neighbourhood Outdoor Ice Rinks. This is an increase of two total rinks from last year’s inaugural program.
There must be a minimum of six adult members from different households, over the age of 18, who live in the surrounding area and are committed to maintain the ice rink throughout the winter season, per application. There must be one primary contact person.
The applications will become available on Tuesday, October 10th. The process will be open until Friday, November 3rd. Volunteers will learn if their application is approved by Monday, November 20th.
