The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has charged three men in connection to a stunt driving incident on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) in Oakville.
On Thursday, September 21st, at roughly 11:00 p.m., a group of motorcycles and cars slowed and eventually stopped traffic on the westbound QEW near Ford Drive. The vehicles then performed stunt driving maneuvers by travelling at high speeds and weaving through traffic and onto the shoulder of the road. The group then exited the QEW in Burlington.
Through investigation police were able to identify the vehicles and drivers.
A 22-year-old Oakville man, and two 22-year-old Burlington men have been charged with Stunt Driving and Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
As a result of the Stunt Driving charges, all three accused were given a 30 day licence suspension and their vehicles (two motorcycles and one car) were impounded for 14 days.
