Milton Menace fans cheer the team on during 2019-2020 season
A productive second period led the Milton Menace to their fourth win in a row!
The Menace welcomed the winless North York Rangers into the Milton Memorial Arena on Wednesday, September 20th. Milton had won their last three games, including outscoring their opponents 17-3 in the last two matchups.
Wednesday night started out pretty rough, with the Rangers scoring the only goal of the first period. It was 1-0 North York after 20 minutes of action.
The second period was almost all Milton, though. Graeme Macauley tied the gam up at the 0:37 mark, assisted by captain Connor Drisocll and veteran Aidan Puley. Alessandro Petreccia then got the lead for the Menace, with help from James Jagodic and Nicholas Wereha. Jayden Levesque would make it three unanswered goals for Milton, scoring the eventual winner with assists from Alexander Siletsky and Markus Hicks. Driscoll would get a goal of his, assisted by Puley and Marcus Tryfon. North York then scored a shorthanded goal to make it 4-2 after two periods of play.
The third period was where the Menace ran away with the game. In less than two minutes, Milton scored three goals. Petreccia with his second of the game, assisted by Driscoll and Puley. Jagodic potted his own, with help from Tristan Tremble and Wereha. Siletsky also got a goal of his own, with Madden MacDougall and Justin O’Donnell both getting assists. 13 players total would register a point as the Menace beat the Rangers 7-2.
Ariel Zaslaver got his first start of the OJHL season, and got the win for the Menace. He stopped 20 of 22 shots for a .909% save percentage.
Next up for Milton will be the Leamington Flyers. The two teams will play at the Milton Memorial Arena on Friday, September 22nd. It’s scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
