We have the latest impaired driving report from the Halton Police.
There were nine cases across Halton this past week:
On Monday, August 14th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Oak Walk Drive and Taunton Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, a 41-year-old Oakville man was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Monday, August 14th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a single vehicle collision in the area of Cornwall Road and Morrison Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, a 39-year-old Oakville man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Monday, August 14th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a collision in the area of Mill Street and Main Street North in Acton. As a result of an investigation, a 28-year-old Acton man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Monday, August 14th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a single vehicle collision in the area of Fairview Street and Commerce Court in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, a 42-year-old Burlington man was charged with operation while impaired.
On Tuesday, August 15th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Guelph Street and Mountainview Road North in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, a 35-year-old Halton Hills man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Thursday, August 17th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Cross Street and Guelph Street in Georgetown. As a result of an investigation, a 55-year-old Georgetown woman was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.
On Thursday, August 17th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Old Bronte Road and Dundas Street West in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, a 71-year-old Mississauga woman was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Thursday, August 17th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a single vehicle collision in the area of Tremaine Road and Louis St. Laurent Avenue in Milton. As a result of an investigation, a 40-year-old Milton man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Thursday, August 17th, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a collision in the area of Derry Road and Santa Maria Boulevard in Milton. As a result of an investigation, a 38-year-old Milton man was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

Remember, driving under the influence is considered a crime in progress. Call 9-1-1 if you suspect that someone on the road is driving impaired.
Here are some signs of an impaired driver provided by the Halton Police:
- Driving unreasonably fast, slow or at an inconsistent speed;
- Drifting in and out of lanes;
- Tailgating and changing lanes frequently;
- Making exceptionally wide turns;
- Changing lanes or passing without sufficient clearance;
- Overshooting or stopping well before stop signs or stop lights;
- Disregarding signals and lights;
- Approaching signals or leaving intersections too quickly or slowly;
- Driving without headlights, failing to lower high beams or leaving turn signals on; and,
- Driving with windows open in cold or inclement weather.
The HRPS says that its officers remain committed to road safety through prevention, education, and enforcement initiatives.
