A Georgetown father of two is the latest local lottery winner!
Edward Kouyoumjian won a $100,000 top prize with INSTANT POWER UP.
The 66-year-old says he’s been playing the lottery for over 20 years and that this is his largest win to date. The retiree was at the park when he played his ticket and uncovered his win.
“As soon as I realized I was a big winner, my hands began to shake and I felt like I was going to faint,” he said, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall. “I was in a daze and didn’t know how to act – it felt like I was frozen in time!”
Edward shared the good news with his family, saying that everyone was happy for him.
“My wife didn’t believe me until I got home and showed her the ticket!”
With his winnings, Edward plans to pay some bills, invest, and maybe treat his wife to a little vacation.
The winning ticket was purchased at Preston’s Food Mart on Confederation Street in Glen Williams.
