The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested the man responsible for a robbery of a Georgetown convenience store.
On Sunday, July 16th, at roughly 9:50 a.m., the male suspect entered the Circle K at 10 Mountainview Road South in Georgetown. Armed with a large kitchen knife, the suspect demanded an employee to hand over the contents of the cash register. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. No physical injuries were reported.
At roughly 11:30 a.m., an officer observed the suspect in the area of Guelph Street and Sinclair Avenue in Georgetown. The suspect was arrested at that time.
24-year-old Ryan Lynch of no fixed address was charged with:
- Robbery
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
