The Ontario government is expanding access to palliative care services in Alliston.
Brian Saunderson, the MPP for Simcoe-Grey announced a $147.4 million investment over the next three years.
He says the funding means that Matthews House Hospice in Alliston and Hospice Georgian Triangle in Collingwood will receive $470,000 each.
In addition to expanding palliative care services across the province, the investment will provide additional residential hospice beds allowing more people to receive treatment close to
home.
Funding will also go toward helping patients and families prepare for future health care decisions and Peer Support that helps parents prepare for the loss of an infant.
