The sunny sky is nice to enjoy, but the weather has caused some concerns for the Milton Fire Department.
High winds has led to the MFD to declare a burn ban for residents in the area. This is the third burn ban in several weeks, and the first for a non-smoke related reason.
According to the Ontario Government, a burn ban includes:
“all burning, including grass, debris and campfires, even when using an outdoor fire grate, fire place or fire pit.”
The burn ban will be lifted once the heavy winds die down. Until then, avoid any open fires outdoors.
