We have the latest impaired driving report from the Halton Police.
There were four cases across Halton over the weekend:
On Saturday, June 24th, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Regional Road 25 and Derry Road in Milton. As a result of an investigation, a 29-year-old Oakville man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Sunday, June 25th, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Bronte Road and Dundas Street West in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, a 42-year-old London man was charged with operation while impaired.
On Sunday, June 25th, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Maple Avenue and Plains Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, a 54-year-old Burlington man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On Monday, June 26th, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Heritage Road and Mainway in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, a 23-year-old Hamilton woman was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

Remember, driving under the influence is considered a crime in progress. Call 9-1-1 if you suspect that someone on the road is driving impaired.
Here are some signs of an impaired driver provided by the Halton Police:
- Driving unreasonably fast, slow or at an inconsistent speed;
- Drifting in and out of lanes;
- Tailgating and changing lanes frequently;
- Making exceptionally wide turns;
- Changing lanes or passing without sufficient clearance;
- Overshooting or stopping well before stop signs or stop lights;
- Disregarding signals and lights;
- Approaching signals or leaving intersections too quickly or slowly;
- Driving without headlights, failing to lower high beams or leaving turn signals on; and,
- Driving with windows open in cold or inclement weather.
The HRPS says that its officers remain committed to road safety through prevention, education, and enforcement initiatives.
