An OPP officer is dead and two others injured in an early morning shooting east of Ottawa.
The shooting happened in the village of Bourget shortly after 2 am.
Police say three officers responded to a report of someone hearing gunshots.
Once on scene, all three were shot.
One person has been taken into custody.
Since September of 2022, 8 Police officers have been killed in Canada while on the job.
