The warmer weather has tulips blooming and ticks waiting in the long grass to latch onto any warm blooded host who happens to walk by.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reminding residents that prevention is your best defense when it comes to contracting Lyme Disease that can be carried by the blood
sucking insects.
Ramien Sereshk is a Program Coordinator with the Healthy Environments and Vector-Borne Diseases Department.
He says the tips are simple but effective.
