The annual Smile Cookie campaign is coming back, and it’s going to help a local charity!
Tim Hortons restaurant owners from Milton and Hornby have announced that they will be donating 100% of the proceeds from sales of Smile Cookies to The Darling Home for Kids.
The only place of its kind in Canada, The Darling Home is entrusted to care for the most medically complex children and their families. Their highly specialized Residential, Respite, and Hospice Palliative Care Programs draw children and families from all over the province. More than 70,000 children in Ontario are classified as medically complex, and that number continues to rise, as does the demand for their services.
“We are incredibly grateful for Tim Hortons’ partnership over the years,” says Kristin Horrell, CEO for The Darling Home. “In 2021, Smile Cookie raised over $41,000 in support of The Darling Home for Kids, helping us cross the finish line of The Embrace Campaign, our most exciting capital expansion to date. This year, their support will help us provide individualized care to children in our local community through our respite, palliative and residential programs. With each Smile Cookie sold, you are bringing a smile to the faces of children with medical complexities, and their loving parents and siblings; ensuring we can be there when families need us the most. Thank you, Tim Hortons, restaurant owners, and customers, for your tremendous support and sharing in our vision where no child is too complex to receive the love, care and support they deserve.”
The Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign will support local charity partners from Monday, May 1st to Sunday, May 7th.
