A Burlington man has won $100,000 from a LOTTO 6/49 draw!
50-year-old Michael Taylor finally collected his winnings from the October 29th draw.
The truck driver says he’s been playing the lottery for 30 years and he plays regular numbers he received in a special way.
“My dad passed away, and in a dream, he gave me lottery numbers. I’ve been playing them ever since,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
The grandfather says he went to replay his ticket when he got a big surprise.
“It was all kind of a blur. When I saw $100,000 on the screen, my hands were shaking. I was so excited and happy of course. I called my wife from the store, and she said, ‘Stop lying to me!'”
The first thing that came to his mind was paying his mortgage and retiring early.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Fortinos grocery store on Appleby Line in Burlington.
ENCORE offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. There is an ENCORE draw every day.
