The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show one additional death in the totals. The death appears to have been an Oakville resident, putting the town at 148 total deaths. Burlington remains at 200 total deaths. Milton remains at 86 total deaths. Halton Hills remains at 75. Halton is now at 509 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 110 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 58,697. There have been 1,793 total hospitalizations in Halton and 509 deaths.
In Milton, we had 14 new cases. That brings us to 15,074 total cases. There have been 409 total hospitalizations in Milton and 86 deaths.
There is currently one outbreak reported in Milton:
- Congregate living space listed only as ‘Congregate Living 172’ – no case numbers or address provided
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,544,517 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,377,619 of the doses were to Halton residents.
