It was a rough final regular season game at the Mad House.
The Milton Menace were host to the Burlington Cougars on Wednesday, March 1st. It was the last home game for the Menace before the playoffs begin.
The Cougars took the lead in the first period with a powerplay goal. They led 1-0 after 20-minutes.
Burlington then scored twice to start the second period before Joseph Meleca got one for the Menace. His goal was assisted by Nicholas Wereha and Tristan Tremble. The Cougars then added two more goals before the end of the second frame, leading the game 5-1.
A sixth Burlington goal was scored in the third period and that was the game as the Menace lost 6-1.
In net for Milton was Forbes Anderson. He faced 40 shots, only stopping 34. That gave him a .850% save percentage for the night.
Next up for the Menace is the Collingwood Blues. It’s their final game of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) regular season. The game is at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4th at the Eddie Bush Arena in Collingwood.
The Menace will play in their second-consecutive OJHL playoffs.
