The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show two additional deaths in the totals. One of the deaths was reportedly a Burlington resident, giving the city 189 total deaths. The other death was a Milton resident, giving our town 84 deaths total. Oakville remains at 142 total deaths. Halton Hills remains at 74 total deaths. Halton is now at 489 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 136 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 58,019. There have been 1,739 total hospitalizations in Halton and 489 deaths.
In Milton, we had 30 new cases. That brings us to 14,976 total cases. There have been 401 total hospitalizations in Milton and 84 deaths.

Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,538,019 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,371,841 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 6423 total doses have been administered to people aged <5;
- 76,888 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 112,544 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 114,652 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
